Home buying seminar planned for April 22

Princess announces Alaska cruise schedule for 2009
Princess Cruises, which has its corporate headquarters in Valencia, will celebrate the 50th anniversary of Alaska's statehood in 2009 with a season of cruises to showcase aspects of Alaska, including Denali National Park and Glacier Bay National Park.

The schedule features land and sea vacations featuring the line's own wilderness lodges and Direct to the Wilderness rail travel combined with sailings through the state's glacier rimmed Gulf Coast. Cruises through the Inside Passage as well as an extended two-week Connoisseur voyage will also be offered aboard the company's eight-ship Alaska fleet.

Princess announces inaugural sailing
The new Ruby Princess, a sister ship to Emerald Princess and Crown Princess, will be delivered earlier than previously expected, according to Valencia-based Princess Cruises.

The line's next new ship will now debut on Nov. 8, creating a new inaugural voyage, a seven-day Western Caribbean sailing taking passengers to Ocho Rios, Grand Cayman, Cozumel and Princess Cays.

WESTEC conference set for March 31
The WESTEC 2008 Advanced Productivity Exposition and Conference, an annual machine tools and advanced manufacturing event, will take place March 31 to April 3 at the Los Angeles Convention Center.

The conference is expected to bring in nearly 600 exhibitors to showcase more than 30 different technologies, ranging from advances in high speed manufacturing to manufacturing technology application and solutions.

WESTEC, currently in its 45th year, is produced each year by the Society of Manufacturing Engineers, a nonprofit, international organization dedicated to supporting manufacturing education.
