Keeping our Ship of State off the rocks

Open Letter to the Captain of our Ship of State:

When your third in command suggested that your/our ship needed to move ahead and ignore the surrounding fog, you should have paused for some further investigation.

The exact quote to which I refer is Nancy Pelosi’s "We have to pass the bill so you can find out what is in it away from the fog of controversy."

When you as the Captain encountered a huge fog of controversy blocking your path to meet your goal for a National Health Care Program, it was up to you to wait until the fog had passed, providing you a clear view of what was ahead.

Many a ship has succumbed due to a captain who ignored fog or weather warnings.

If you find yourself on the rocks or in other ways restricted from progress, feel blessed.

You could have sunk the ship.
