A 58-year-old motorcyclist seriously injured Sunday night after he was hit by a woman suspected of driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol remained hospitalized in critical condition Tuesday.

Johnny Sanchez Jr. of Lake View Terrace remained at Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital with critical injuries Tuesday, said hospital spokeswoman Katreena Salgado.

Sanchez was riding his Suzuki motorcycle on The Old Road around 9 p.m. Wednesday when a vehicle driven by a Stevenson Ranch woman turned left into his bike.

“He suffered major injuries,” California Highway Patrol Sgt. John Lutz said Monday morning.

The collision occurred at The Old Road and Sagecrest Circle, Lutz said.

Suzette Lorine Crockett, 46, of Chicory Court in Stevenson Ranch, was charged with driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol causing injury.
