Year in and year out, depth is what separates the pack in Foothill League girls golf.

And though so much has been said about Golden Valley’s best golfer Elisa Pierre, a lot needs to be said about the girls who surround her.

Those girls helped lead the Grizzlies to their third straight Foothill win — this time with a team score of 191 on Tuesday at El Cariso Golf Club in Sylmar.

Golden Valley edged second-place West Ranch by seven strokes and Hart finished third at 200.

It was Pierre who was medalist for the second straight league match. She shot a 32 on the par-31 course.

Yet it was the two-three of the one-two-three punch that made a huge difference for the Grizzlies.

Freshman Justine Reblando shot a 35 and senior Illeana Dullas shot a 36.

Those two golfers came into the day ranked sixth and seventh overall in league.

“Beyond belief important,” said Golden Valley head coach Tony Moskal on how integral Reblando and Dullas have been to the team’s success thus far. “To have my top three as good and consistent as they’ve been allows the middle of our pack to make a few errors along the way. Then again Camille (Mendoza) and Gabby (Mendoza) can go out and shoot a 40 next week.”

Gabby shot a 41 and Camille shot a 47 on Tuesday.

However, West Ranch is in striking distance.

The two-time defending league champion Wildcats’ five scores were within eight strokes — Ashley Mayhall (35), Kate Caffrey (37), Alegria Montalvo (41), Shannon Faltys (42) and Adelrina Kim (43).

“I’m very happy with where we’re at,” said West Ranch head coach Jeff Holen. “They’re not satisfied with second place. Hopefully the tradition of excellence we established we’re going to continue to build it and go from there.”

Hart was led by Lauren Yi’s 33 and Katie Corr’s 34.

Valencia finished with a 215 as Eunice Song shot a 37.

Canyon shot a 229, led by Ashley Warner’s 40.

Saugus ended on 260. Jade Tellers shot a 44.
