Vote today to help SCV Senior Center win new Toyota

The Santa Clarita Valley Senior Center is in the running for a new Toyota, and all you have to do to help is cast your vote on a website or on a Facebook page before the end of the day today.

Toyota will donate 100 vehicles to 100 nonprofit groups under its 100 Cars for Good program. Five nonoprofits are featured each day during the 50-day contest, and the one that gets the most votes from visitors to the contest website or Facebook page wins the vehicle. Each visitor gets two votes.

If the SCV Senior Center receives the most votes and is awarded the vehicle, center organizers said, it will be used for seniors in need of transport to and from medical appointments, banking, the Social Security office, grocery shopping and other necessary errands for individuals 60 years old and over.
