Valencia High graduate Max Homa made his second straight cut in just his second professional tournament after she shot a 1-under 70 on Friday in the second round of the Shriners Hospitals for Children Open in Las Vegas.

Homa is tied for 58th at 3-under overall, which is just above the cut line. He’s 12 strokes behind Webb Simpson, who leads the field at 15-under.

Homa shot a 69 on Thursday in the opening round. He's one of 71 players of 132 to make the cut.

Last week, he finished tied for ninth at the Open in Northern California in his pro debut. That top 10 finish earned Homa the exemption to this week's tournament in Las Vegas.
