Stevenson Ranch / Westridge, Zone 3, Public Safety and Crime Prevention Info. Snap Shot

There were six reported part-one crimes between the above dates in Zone 3. Here are some details regarding some of the reported crimes:

An assault with a deadly weapon and vandalism was reported on S/B Interstate 5 and Valencia Blvd on Tuesday, October 22nd 2013, at approximately 7:15pm. The victim reported he was traveling on Interstate 5. He attempted to merge and the vehicle next to him refused to allow him into the lane. He looked at the people in the vehicle and they threw a rock through his open window which landed in his truck. Two males in the vehicle next to the victim appeared to be challenging the victim to fight. The victim tried to slow down and let the other vehicle get ahead of him, but the driver of the other vehicle slowed and forced him to the shoulder. Once the victim stopped, the suspect’s exited their vehicle and used a tire iron to hit the victim’s vehicle causing damage. The investigation into this incident and further details surrounding the event are still under investigation (ref -14493).

An IPad was reported stolen from the Starbucks located on The Old Road. This incident occurred on Tuesday, October 22nd 2013 between 10:15am and 10:30am. The victim accidentally left his IPad on the table at the location and left. When he returned the IPad was gone (ref -14480).

A 2004 Harley Davidson motorcycle was reported stolen from the 25300 block of The Old Road. This theft occurred on Wednesday, October 23rd 2013 between 8:00am and 7:00pm. The motorcycle was parked in the victim’s assigned parking space (ref -14550).

A shoplifting / burglary was reported from Wal-Mart located on The Old Road. Alcohol was stolen and a suspect was arrested (ref -14624).

Vehicle burglaries were reported from the 26200 block of West Valencia Blvd. This incident occurred on Saturday, October 26th 2013 between 12:30pm and 2:30pm. Two windows from two separate vehicles were smashed and items were stolen from the interior of the vehicles (ref -14660).

A vehicle burglary was reported from the 25300 block of Silver Aspen Way. Person(s) unknown cut a hole into the convertible top of a locked vehicle. A GPS device was stolen (ref -14708).
