A tribute to teachers
Who: The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints
What: "A Beacon to the Future - A Tribute to Teachers." Public is invited to attend for free. Eighteen teachers were chosen by students to be recognized for their influence in the student's life. State Assemblyman Cameron Smyth will be the keynote speaker and music will be presented by the Saugus High School Choir.

Friendly Valley Lenten study
Pastor Stan Fix at the Friendly Valley Community Church (United Methodist)
What: Fix will present a short term Lenten study combining an in-depth look at scripture and musical spirituals.
When: 9:30 a.m. Wednesdays through April 1, or Tuesdays in Friendly Valley homes beginning March 3. For locations contact the church office.

First Presbyterian Lenten study
Who: Pastor Bill Barnes of First Presbyterian Church in Newhall
What: Lenten series titled "Tales from Luke," a quick look through the New Testament Book of Luke. Barnes created study guides following his sermons, which can be used for individuals or study groups. To encourage studying the Scriptures in small groups, The Adult Education Committee at First Presbyterian is creating small groups that will meet to discuss Barnes' sermon prior to his giving it at church. The church invites the community to participate.
When: Through April 12
Where: The church's sanctuary at 24317 N. Newhall Avenue in Newhall, located near William S. Hart Park. The small groups meet at various times and locations. Information on locations and dates are available through the office.

Handel at Congregation Beth Shalom
Los Angeles' morning news and talk radio personality Bill Handel at Congregation Beth Shalom
What: The congregations hosts Handel in its next Distinguished Speaker Series. Handel is the popular host of KFI AM 640's "Handel on the Law" and "Handel Yourself in the Morning" programs. Handel is best known for offering "marginal legal advice" and his take on current events. Tickets now on sale. Seating is extremely limited. Advance tickets are $40. Also available, in limited quantity, is a Santa Clarita Patron Package which includes reserved seating and an exclusive wine and cheese reception with Bill Handel prior to the event for $90.

Christian music concert
Dallas Holm is an award winning singer/songwriter, including a Grammy nomination and Dove award, and will be singing favorite songs such as, "Here We Are" and "Rise Again."

Easter Sunrise Service
This pageant depicts the trial, crucifixion, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. It includes live music as well as the re-enactment of the Biblical events of Christ's last hours. This is all presented in dramatic fashion. The morning air and the backdrop of the rocks make the pageant seemingly come alive. and Acton, and presented as a community worship ministry.
Who: This annual event is sponsored by the Alliance of Christian Churches of Agua Dulce
When: Saturday, April 11, at 2 p.m. and Easter Sunday, April 12, at 5 a.m.
Where: Vasquez Rocks County Park, Agua Dulce. From the Santa Clarita area: take the Antelope Valley Freeway north to Agua Dulce Canyon Road, exit and turn left under the freeway. Go North (up the hill) past the school, to the stop sign. Continue straight about ¼ of a mile to Vasquez Rocks Park entrance on the right. From the Antelope Valley area: take the Antelope Valley Freeway south, exit at Escondido Canyon Road, turn left at the end of the off ramp and then right at Escondido Canyon Road. Continue straight about 1 mile to the Vasquez Rocks Park entrance on the left.
