Republicans disenfranchise voters by tactics

A new voter law disenfranchises voters in Texas. It takes aim at the poor and minorities living in that state.

The law is that voters must obtain a Voter ID card. So far, some 700,000 people have applied for the card; only 122,000 have been issued.

The Republican strategy is to limit voter turnout, thereby ensuring Republican incumbents will retain their offices.

This will be a story repeated in many states in the future. The Republican Party realizes it is a minority and its numbers are dwindling.

The solution is to disenfranchise millions of voters so that we will become the country designed and controlled for the rich, corporations, and special interests.

Americans are about to witness the demise of this democracy.

The Founding Fathers believed in government for the people and by the people. Nothing was ever said about the rich, corporations and special interests.

Those of us who can vote must vote. America needs to elect representatives for all of the people.

We must fight to protect this republic and our democracy.
