'Wit' - The Repertory East Playhouse, located at 24266 San Fernando Road, Newhall, will continue its 2008 Main stage season with the 1999 Pulitzer Prize-winning drama, "Wit" through April 5. Show times are Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m. Tickets are $17, $15 for students or seniors. Group rates are available. Advance reservations are highly recommended. CTG Plays -

"Over the River and Through the Woods" plays through April 19 at the Canyon Theatre Guild. Performances are every Friday and Saturday evening at 8 p.m., and Sunday matinee performances will be held at 1 p.m. beginning March 30.

"A Laura Ingalls Wilder Christmas" will run through April 19, with Saturday matinees at 1 p.m. and Sunday twilight shows at 6:30 p.m. There will be a Sunday matinee on April 20. Tickets for both plays are $9-$11 for juniors and $11-$14 for adults. They are available by calling the Canyon Theatre Guild's box office at (661) 799-2702. The Canyon Theatre Guild is located at 24242 Main St. in Downtown Newhall.

Railfest in Fillmore - Continues today, March 30. The center of activities will be at Central Park in Fillmore, but other activities will be held in Piru and Santa Paula. There will be railroad-related venues, informational displays, arts and crafts booths, model trains and food vendors. There will be performances by frontier gunfighters and antique farm equipment displays. A period sleeping car, caboose and boxcar will be on display. In Santa Paula there will be backcountry Jeep tours, tethered hot air balloon rides and historical attractions. In Piru a bus trip will visit Rancho Camulos. In Fillmore there will be tours of the historic train depot. Hours are 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. each day. Admission to events and parking are free. Fillmore & Western will offer a $25 adult one-day rail pass for travel from Fillmore to Santa Paula and Piru. Railfest is centered in Fillmore on Central Avenue and Main Street, 19 miles west of Interstate 5 on Highway 126. For information visit www.scrvrhs.com or www.fwry.com.
