Sheriff’s Department Parks Bureau deputies arrested three suspects and recovered property that may have been stolen in nine separate burglaries in Castaic, officials reported Tuesday.

The discovery started when a deputy contacting a motorist over a minor traffic violation at the Castaic Inn parking lot on Monday.

“When information provided to the deputies by the driver didn’t add up,” the deputies investigated further and discovered “a considerable amount of stolen property” and arrested three people, according to a news release from the Parks Bureau.

Two women, ages 20 and 43, from Culver City and a man, 46, from Los Angeles were arrested for possession of a controlled substance — specifically, methamphetamine — and receiving stolen property. They were booked at the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.

Detectives there determined the trio could be implicated in at least nine burglaries committed in the Castaic area.
