The Santa Clarita WorkSource Center will host two recruitment events in January to seek qualified professionals for immediate employment in the Santa Clarita Valley.

The WorkSource Center will host a recruitment event on Wednesday, January 22, 2014 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. for immediate employment with Service Corporation International, an American provider of funeral goods and services as well as cemetery property and services. Available positions include pre-planning advisors and family service counselors who are available to work in the Los Angeles market, including Lancaster, Newhall, Mission Hills, Northridge, Canoga Park, Los Angeles, North Hollywood, Burbank, Westlake Village, Culver City Santa Monica and Ventura.

Service Corporation International job seekers must have sales experience, a good driving record, and be comfortable with in-home sales and conducting group presentations.

On Friday, January 24, 2014 from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., the WorkSource Center will host a recruitment to identify qualified candidates to fill the positions of cashier and ride attendants for Flash Pass at Six Flags Magic Mountain, a virtual ride reservation system that electronically holds guests’ place in line reducing the amount of wait time for select rides. Competitive wages start at $9.00 per hour, plus additional incentives, which may include performance and sale-based commission, free Flash Pass rentals, free admission to the park on days off, among other perks.

All interested applicants are encouraged to bring the following items to the recruitment events: a copy of their resume, work history and references, and a State issued ID such as a Driver’s License, and Social Security Card or passport.

The Santa Clarita WorkSource Center is located within College of the Canyon’s University Center at 26455 Rockwell Canyon Road in Suite 250. For more information or to register for the recruitment, please visit or call (661) 799-WORK (9675).
