America needs to change its energy policy

I don’t know about you, but to me, reducing the threat of climate change would best be accomplished by having good flood control, stout construction, a reliable water supply and affordable energy — Not by following leaders who think we can reduce the threat of climate change by stopping the change.

How ridiculous. You might expect this belief in ancient cultures during a rain dance, a virgin sacrifice, or some spiritual chant.

Unfortunately, Americans have been very gullible of late. First people believed “If you like your health care, you can keep it.”

Now, Americans have been convinced to pay more for electricity, gasoline, and food, thinking it will affect climate. Yes, we should have paid less. But we had to save the world instead.

You know you have a problem when the EPA can never scientifically prove its policies have any tangible influence on climate, yet the FDA is suing Dial soap to get them to prove their suds kill germs.

It’s becoming clear that America needs to change its energy policy based on new findings about the Sun, and how CO2 has little, if any, influence on climate at all.

The reality is that our climate changes as the Sun changes. If the Sun never changed, the climate would never change. But it does, so we do.

We will survive climate change with strong economies and affordable energy. That way we can afford to run the heat in the winter and the A/C in the summer. Whatever the Sun and the climate do, we have to be prepared for it.

Thinking the climate is now at our disposal simply by controlling emissions is like believing, “If you like your climate, you can keep it.” And we should all know by now that just isn’t true.
