West Ranch High School will play host Saturday to The Signal’s fifth annual high school basketball senior all-star games for charity.

The event is called the SCV Hoops Finale, and it will feature some of the Santa Clarita Valley’s top senior girls and boys basketball players.

The girls all-star game begins at 5 p.m. and the boys game is set to follow at 7 p.m. in West Ranch’s gymnasium.

Tickets will be sold for $5 at the door starting at 4:30 p.m., and all proceeds benefit special-needs students within the William S. Hart Union High School District’s WiSH Education Foundation.

Prior to the start of the games, a food-truck festival is scheduled at 4 p.m. in the West Ranch parking lot. A total of six food trucks are booked.

As per tradition in the SCV Hoops Finale, a slam-dunk contest is scheduled to take place at halftime of the boys game, and a three-point shooting contest will occur at halftime of the girls game.

Many prominent local players and coaches will be involved in the event representing Valencia, West Ranch, Hart, Canyon, Saugus and Golden Valley high schools as well as two local private high schools — Trinity Classical Academy and Santa Clarita Christian School.
