Mother's day comes each May

A day to say thanks she deserves her day

She raised us both, my twin and I

She loved us both and made us try

I remember when she nursed us well

I remember when only mom I'd tell

We went to school, she went to work

We went to play, she went to work

The years went by, she watched us grow

We left our childhood, she's proud I know

I went to college and became a Marine

Mother worried, she was not to keen

I finished school and enforced the law

She worried more, my career she saw

I married my girl and had three more

It's grandma now for those four

"Hi mom," we left the kids Can't stay now,

"they'll do your bids"

The years grow shorter, and now fly by

Her hair's more gray, but her pace is spry

It's time to say thanks, my twin and I

Thanks for our life, my twin and I

It's been a great ride we three have had

We love you mom. You too dad
