The 2014 ‘Concerts in the Park’ lineup will feature eight of the most popular acts selected from the series’ 25-year history.  The concerts will kick off on July 12 with a performance by DSB, known as America’s favorite tribute to Journey.  This band captivated Santa Clarita audiences by mimicking the lush, signature sound of renowned vocalist Steve Perry and Journey in their prime.

“The City of Santa Clarita’s ‘Concerts in the Park’ series is a community tradition that has entertained residents of all ages for a quarter-century,” said Mayor Laurene Weste. “This year’s series is sure to be the highlight of the summer, with outstanding performances by popular acts in a beautiful outdoor setting.”

The series continues on July 19 with Suzanne Harper, a high-energy country singer who finished 2nd place nationally at the 2013 Texaco Country Music Showdown. She will perform original songs that blend the art of country storytelling with an edgy, California sound that will delight attendees of all ages.  On July 26, Led Zepagain steals the show, paying tribute to Led Zeppelin by replicating concerts and the original sound of the iconic band.  The familiar rhythms are reflected through astonishing acoustic works and energetic electric classics.

On August 2 Hotel California performs with a salute to The Eagles by blending their extraordinary vocals and musical talents.  This timeless music is recreated through an action packed performance, showcasing The Eagles mega-hits.

The music keeps coming with a performance by Captain Cardiac and the Coronaries on August 9.  This one-of-a-kind rock and roll party show band is and known for their high voltage performances of classic oldies, Motown, British Invasions, Doo-Wop, Rockabilly and Surf.  Poncho Sanchez follows on August 16, paying homage to the flavors of traditional Latin music complete with the melodic and harmonic sophistication of jazz.  By celebrating the rhythms of Latin music, Poncho Sanchez incorporates the smooth sounds of jazz into his tunes while preserving the historical significance of this particular heritage.

The familiar sounds of Bono will fill the air on August 23 with Hollywood U2, who will pay tribute to U2 by bringing the true sounds of their music to life.  This band is no stranger to the limelight and has performed in front of millions worldwide, including on Mark Cuban and Ryan Seacrest’s television network, Fox Soccer Channel, KTLA News and the Sound L.A.

Finally, on August 30, Boogie Nights takes the stage to revive the disco era with a variety of tunes, including Celebration, Brick House, Y.M.C.A, I Will Survive and many more!  This comedic band provides a fun concert environment that is jam-packed with the sounds of the 70s, psychedelic styles and gold bling, ensuring a perfect finale to the 25th annual ‘Concerts in the Parks’ series.

In anticipation of this year’s summer concerts, attendees are encouraged to arrive early to set up their chairs and enjoy a selection of various food vendors.  Out of consideration for others, guests cannot reserve areas by staking or roping, and are asked to stay with their belongings at all times.  Unattended possessions will be removed by City Staff.
