SCV residents celebrate Martin Luther King Jr. Day in Stevenson Ranch

More than two dozen kids and half as many adults joined together at a Stevenson Ranch park on Martin Luther King Jr. Day in a small but real tribute to the man who fought for civil rights and had a dream of harmony.

Event sponsor Laurie Bevington with the Los Angeles County Department of Parks and Recreation urged kids to play games, draw hopscotch blocks with sidewalk chalk or color printed sheets depicting the American flag and King Jr.
