Kevin Korenthal: Calif. high-speed rail dilemma

I have been closely following the happenings related to California high-speed rail since before it was passed in a voter referendum in 2008.

During this time, I have noted with growing annoyance as a bloated and over-empowered bureaucracy answerable only to the governor slowly but methodically undermined the will of the voters with a plan that no longer even remotely resembles the project voters approved with Proposition 1A by a mere 52 percent.
