Detectives probing mail thefts in SCV

Sheriff’s detectives are looking for mail thieves who ransacked mailboxes on two Santa Clarita Valley streets recently — one in Stevenson Ranch, the other in Bridgeport — making off with the personal mail of residents there, a lead investigator said this week.

During the weekend of March 14, the mailboxes on two streets were hit by thieves who stole what had been delivered by U.S. Postal Service mail carriers, said Detective Perry Tardif of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Parks Bureau.
