Open House at Gorman Learning
The Gorman Learning Center is a nonprofit, California public charter school with students who complete independent study and may also attend a learning center two days week. Iron Circus to benefit LETMESAIL
LETMESAIL and Metal Mullisha Events presents "Iron Circus," Saturday, May 30. Features six top-tier professional freestyle motocross athletes performing an electrifying array of mid-art tricks across a 75-foot gap, and a performance by Asphalt Messiah. Proceeds benefit LETMESAIL, a nonprofit organization that provides therapeutic, social, recreational, and educational programs for its "differently-abled" clients. Hoedown at Tesoro Adobe
Tesoro Adobe Historical Park and the Santa Clarita Artists' Associaion will host a western-style hoedown noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, May 30. Music, artwork and a free tour of the museum. Special Olympics at GU in Valencia

The Soroptomist International of Santa Clarita Valley's Fiesta Poker Tournament will be held 6 p.m. Saturday, June 6. Evening of poker, celebrities, prizes, plus festive food and beverages. Prevent sexual harassment
Sexual Harassment Prevention Training will be held Thursday, June 18. Local chapter of the Professionals in Human Resources Association presents a two-hour course designed to meet the California requirement that all supervisors are trained in sexual harassment prevention techniques. Authors discuss San Fernando Mission
Authors Ken and Carol Pauley have extensively studied the San Fernando Mission culminating in their book, "San Fernando, Rey de España: An Illustrated History."
