Santa Clarita officially approves e-cigarette restrictions

Santa Clarita City Council members gave final approval this week to an ordinance that will restrict the use of electronic smoking devices, commonly referred to as “e-cigarettes” or “e-cigs,” in public places or on city property.

The ordinance, which was approved unanimously Tuesday night, expands the city’s smoking regulations to include the use of e-cigarettes — devices that provide doses of nicotine or other additives to the user in the form of an aerosol, typically as a vapor.
