I can’t believe it’s been nearly 30 years since I moved to the Santa Clarita Valley! When I moved here, there was no mall, the shopping center that houses Kohl’s and Whole Foods was an empty field, and Stevenson Ranch hadn’t even been developed.

Our community has grown by leaps and bounds, and with that, so has the traffic. As a commuter, my time spent in my car Monday through Friday averages three or more hours per day. While it can be unbearably boring, I found a way to break the monotony by noticing “angel numbers” on license plates. Angel numbers are repetitive number sequences that contain angelic messages to comfort and guide us. These numbers are the most common way angels communicate with us. You may have seen 11:11 on a clock or noticed a phone number or address that contained 444 or 222, etc.

I learned about angel numbers eight years ago at a spiritual retreat, but at that time, I didn’t know the discovery was going to change my life forever and set me on a path of teaching others about angels. One evening, the angels gave me a message that went beyond seeing numbers. I heard words in my head.

I was driving home from work and was experiencing an allergic reaction. I could feel my face swelling up and my throat getting dry. I was scared. I knew I had to get to Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital fast. I asked the angels for help. In my head, I heard, “We’re getting you there as fast as we can.” It was repeated two more times. This calmed me down and comforted me. That night, for some reason, I remember there was hardly any traffic, and the hospital staff admitted me virtually immediately.

As I lay there hooked up to an IV drip, a young girl walked past me wearing a black sweatshirt that had a big pair of white angel wings on the back of it. Instantly, I knew it was a sign from the angels that they were right there with me, letting me know that everything was going to be okay.

Not long after that experience, while driving to work one morning, I received more words in the form of poetry that would become my award-winning children’s book, “Angels, Angels, Everywhere.” I know that all the time I spent in my car acknowledging the angels’ messages, following their guidance, trusting the process, and being grateful for their assistance, opened up the channel for me to receive not one but many manuscripts of beautiful and inspiring words for children.

Everyone is intuitive and has access to communicating with the angels. Love is the key … feeling love and a desire to connect. All you have to do is open your heart and believe it’s possible.
