Due to popular demand, the city of Santa Clarita will host an additional "Popcorn and a Movie" event on Saturday, Aug. 8 at 2 p.m.

The event is the third installment of the city's popular Popcorn and a Movie program, held at the city's Sports Complex Activities center at no cost.

Community members of all ages are invited to sign up for the event, which will feature a showing of Walt Disney's "Bolt." The event will include complimentary popcorn for audience members. Aside from water, no additional food will be permitted.

"The city originally scheduled two Popcorn and a Movie events, which were so well-received that a third, final installment was added to allow additional community members to come out and enjoy the popular program," said Mayor Frank Ferry. "Popcorn and a Movie is another example of how the city goes above and beyond to accommodate residents with quality recreational activities."

Residents are invited to sign up to attend the August 8 Popcorn and a Movie event at the Sports Complex Activities Center. Seating at the event is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Children under 8 years of age in attendance must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

The city's Sports Complex Activities Center is located at 20880 Centre Pointe Parkway, Canyon Country 91351.
