Health care red flags

How dare The Signal print such an unfounded statement in Sunday's paper titled "Health care rumors unfounded" (Aug. 9).

I received the AARP magazine and the last magazine had an article on the proposed health bill and how it could affect seniors. I read this and immediately red flags went up and the question to be asked is, who is AARP representing? Not seniors, that is for sure.

Anyone saying this bill will not negatively affect seniors now and seniors to come in the following generations is not educated in what the bill is, or is lying.

Common sense ought to tell you the government cannot add millions of people to this program and not cut services.

Read the bill or listen to Tom Price - previously a physician and now Rep. 6th district, Georgia - on the Internet. He has read this bill.

It is a fact that care will be rationed, determined by age.

The Signal ought to be outraged at the prospect a bill of this magnitude in expenditures would even be considered to be voted upon without each and every Congressman having a complete understanding of it and at the very least having read it once.

I am grateful to Buck McKeon and others (both Democrats and Republicans) that have read and understand the bill in its present form to be a horrific bill.

Read the bill, folks.

Demand your elected officials take time to read every bill they vote on. That is what we pay them for.
