Walk for hunger and poverty
Who: St. Stephen's Episcopal Church
What: Santa Clarita CROP Hunger Walk: Each year, some 2 million CROP walkers, volunteers and sponsors put their "hearts and soles" in motion, raising more than $16 million per year to help end hunger and poverty around the world and in local communities. Twenty-five percent of all money raised locally comes back to food banks and shelters in the Santa Clarita Valley. "The annual CROP Walk provides a way for the entire community to come together for the benefit of others. We are only as strong as our weakest link, as monies raised go to help eradicate hunger globally and in our own community of Santa Clarita," said the Rev. Canon Lynn Jay.
