Santa Clarita recognized nationally for marketing and communication

The city of Santa Clarita took top honors last week at the national City-County Communications and Marketing Association's (3CMA) Annual Conference.

The city received nine 3CMA Savvy awards, more awards than any other city, in recognition of Santa Clarita's work over the last year in strategic marketing and compelling communications efforts.

3CMA is the leading organization for local governments that are innovating new and better ways of communicating with their citizens by viewing them as customers with important input into the kinds of services offered and how they are provided.

Its Savvy Awards competition recognizes outstanding local government achievements in communications, public-sector marketing and citizen-government relationships.

The city of Santa Clarita took home the following awards:

• Extreme Neighborhood Makeover Program- 1st Prize (Citizen Participation)
• Guide to Opening a Small Business in Santa Clarita- 1st Prize (Printed Publications- Guides)
• City Call- 2nd Prize (Printed Publications- Internal Newsletter)
• Seasons Catalog- 2nd Prize (Printed Publications- Catalogs)
• Business Attraction commercial- 2nd Prize (TV & Video- Promotional Video)
• Seasons Magazine- 3rd Prize (Printed Publications- Magazines)
• Fleet Maintenance and You 3rd Prize (TV & Video- Education/Training)
• City of Santa Clarita 24/7 - 3rd Prize (Digital/Interactive- Social Networking)
• Enterprise Zone commercials-3rd Prize (Marketing/Tools/Event/Government Service)

The Savvy Awards recognize skilled and effective city, county, agency or district professionals who have creatively planned and carried out successful innovations in communications and marketing.
