I would like to share what a pleasure and honor it has been to work alongside both Joan MacGregor and Suzan Solomon.

As a member of the Saugus Union School Board, I became active in the Santa Clarita Valley Trustees Association which is made up of all the school boards in the Santa Clarita Valley. I have firsthand knowledge of the commitment and experience these women have in representing all our students from pre-school through adult education. They understand the challenges facing our educational community and have taken active rolls in lobbying to maintain our programs.

Joan MacGregor's face lights up when she shares all the new programs COC has to offer. She never attends a meeting without an armload of COC materials. She freely shares her experience on effective advocacy as she has the ear of those who serve at the state and federal level.

Suzan Solomon has more energy than anyone I know. More importantly she has "follow through." Be it school board or PTA, she makes sure she is well-informed of the issues at hand. She not only eloquently talks the talk but she walks the walk with integrity.

Her experience with the Newhall district and its proven success will assist her in making good decisions for the William S. Hart Union High School District. Solomon has forged relationships at the state level in efforts to bring our challenges to the forefront.

These women not only have passion, they have experience that will help carry us through the economic chaos this state has not seen in decades. They have a vision for academic, vocational and technical achievement that addresses the needs of students of the SCV.

We will all benefit from their service. They have the confidence of faculty, staff, students, community and parent leadership. Let's keep them working!

Vote Suzan Solomon for Hart district board.

Return Joan MacGregor to the COC board.
