No doubts about Castaic's future

As election day approaches, I find the need to inform the Castaic community, which I love so dearly, as to what I think is best for the Castaic Union School District. I have served on the Castaic school board for the past eight years and am presently honored to be president as I was in 2007. I also served on the Castaic Town Council from 2001 through 2008. A council member cannot serve more than two consecutive terms and that is the reason I am no longer serving in that capacity.

While the school board as a governing body can not endorse a candidate for the board positions, we are certainly entitled to express our own personal opinions and support the individuals that we believe would best serve our community.

I am pleased to announce that current Castaic Union school board members David Huffaker, Steven Teeman and Laura Pearson, along with the Castaic Teachers Association, have joined me in endorsing Victor Torres, Laura Pearson and Susan Christopher for the open board positions.

There can be no doubt that I am very concerned about the future of our district and am extremely comfortable that these three candidates are by far the best individuals for this position.
