Rowher Flat Off-Highway Vehicle Recreation Area reopened Saturday. The popular riding area is located in the Angeles National Forest off Highway 14 Freeway, northeast of Santa Clarita.

Crews have repaired and groomed the roads throughout the area, which has been closed since the Buckweed Fire in October, 2007. Virtually all of the 10,000-acre facility was burned in the fire, according to a USDA Forest Service news release.

An Adventure Pass is not needed for green or red-sticker vehicles, but is needed for other vehicles parked in the OHV area.

To reach Rowher Flat take the Sierra Highway off-ramp off Highway 14 and travel north. Make a left turn on Rush Canyon Road.
