SACRAMENTO - For the third consecutive year, Assemblyman Cameron Smyth (R-Santa Clarita) has received a 100 percent rating from the California Chamber of Commerce for his positions on bills impacting the state's business community.

"It is always an honor to be recognized by the California Chamber of Commerce, an organization with a long history of standing up for the small businesses that are the backbone of our economy," Smyth said. "To be one of the members recognized for my commitment to creating jobs and keeping businesses in the state is something I am very proud of."

The Chamber of Commerce scorecard is an annual report that rates legislators based on their votes in several issue areas including economic development, employment law, environmental regulation, health care, legal and taxation.

"It's nice to see so many of my colleagues from both sides of the aisle receiving favorable scores from the Chamber," Smyth said. "As we move forward into the new legislative year, it's important that we have a strong bipartisan commitment to job creation and economic development."
