Temperatures to cool down

Temperatures are expected to drop by more than 10 degrees, bringing clouds and a slight chance of showers today, the National Weather Service forecasted Wednesday.

Today’s forecast calls for a 20 percent chance of showers after 10 a.m.

“It should be relatively light,” said Bonnie Bartling, weather specialist for the National Weather Service.

The low-pressure system is expected to generate far less than an inch of rain, she said.

The weather may stay cloudy for much of Thursday as temperatures dip to 64 degrees, according to the forecast.

The clouds are expected to clear Friday, but temperatures may stay cool into the weekend.

“Cool air is definitely coming to the area,” Bartling said.
