Update: Due to bad weather, the reception has been postponed. However, the art piece is on display at Macy's on the Valencia Boulevard side of the mall.

The city of Santa Clarita's Arts and Events Office will host a reception to celebrate the newest addition to the city's public art landscape on Thursday, Dec. 10 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Westfield Valencia Town Center.

"The Oak of the Golden Dream Bear," by Corey Stein, is the newest of the city's California Bear Project, which currently has seven bears. Another bear resides near the Lazy Dog Cafe at the mall.

The artist, live music and light appetizers will be present along with the piece outside of Macy's, which is on the west end of the mall.
