SAN DIEGO - I AM Magic and Kids for Peace, two international non-profit organizations, are hosting an event to bring peace and wellness to children and their loved ones everywhere.

The event is held from 2 to 4 p.m. on Jan. 10, 2010 in Carlsbad, Calif. and will feature a demonstration of the techniques that I AM Magic volunteers have used to help hundreds of families who have faced serious disease and loss.

Participants will learn engaging, simple techniques from Art Therapy and Psychology that they can use at home alongside any healthcare regimen.

The event is designed to teach children who suffer from illnesses such as asthma, diabetes and cancer, as well as their families, a proven method to effectively manage their own stress and pain.

This will be an inspiring and eye-opening event for what is possible for those who suffer, bringing real peace to people's lives.

"We have had magical results since 2005, helping patients and their families improve their quality of life, no matter how serious the disease," said Diane LoMonaco, one of the founders of I AM Magic. "And these techniques make a difference for the entire family. This is important as studies show caregivers often experience stress and isolation from supporting their loved ones."

Families of children with chronic or serious illness are encouraged to contact I AM Magic to participate in the event online or in person.

Interested families should create a free recovery team profile at and contact I AM Magic at to receive more information.
