Hart's Jordan Danny continues breaking records, even in the offseason.

Danny competed in the Janet Evans Invitational with the Canyons Aquatic Club this past weekend.

The 2007 All-Santa Clarita Girls Swimmer of the year broke her 200-meter individual medley team record, setting a mark of 2 minutes, 21.05 seconds.

The senior broke another personal record on the day, as well as a record for Canyons, in the 100 breaststroke. Danny, who set a mark of 1:10.64, has already qualified for the Olympic trials in this event.

Both of Danny's times rank her among the top 100 swimmers in the world, and with the U.S. Olympic team trials only two weeks away, Danny is projected to make it to the semifinals or finals of the trials in Omaha, Neb.

She could be one of two swimmers representing the United States at this year's Olympics in Beijing.

"Everything is clicking for Jordan right now," said Canyons head coach Jeff Conwell. "She's been working really hard and she's grinded out a lot of hard practices and we are just now beginning to see the results of that."

Fellow Indians swimmer Nick Korth will be heading to the Junior National Championships in the 100 breaststroke. Korth set a mark of 1:07.66, two seconds less than his preliminary finish and beating the 1:07.89 time standard.

Korth also set a personal record in the 200 breaststroke coming in at 2:30.59.

Konrad Antoniuk finished No. 16 in the 1,500.

Additional Foothill League athletes who participated in JEI include Valencia's Bob Hwang who won the B consolation final of the 100 butterfly setting a mark of 2:07.09 and earning him another Junior National time.

Canyon's Sarah Pino finished No. 24 in the 200 breaststroke and Nui Harris finished No. 20 in the 100 backstroke.

Canyons Aquatic Club swimmers will begin preparations for the Sectionals meet beginning July 17 as well as the Junior Nationals which will take place the first week of August.
