California Highway Patrol officials opened a northbound Highway 14 lane that was closed for more than two hours after an Amtrak bus spilled oil this morning, authorities said.

CHP officials closed the far-right lane at Newhall Avenue at about 8:30 a.m. and reopened it just before 11 a.m., said officials from CHP's Traffic Management Center.

Caltrans workers responded to the scene and cleaned the spill.

The closure resulted in some minor slowing of traffic this morning, which started just south of the area, officials said.
