Who: Former NFL player to visit Chabad of SCV
What: How does a Nice Jewish Boy end up in the NFL? Enjoy an evening with former NFL offensive lineman for the Green Bay Packers and the Super Bowl Champion Dallas Cowboys, Alan Veingrad will share how he vigorously maintained his Jewish identity and pride in the NFL as well as his exciting journey to Jewish commitment. Autograph and photo opportunity following talk. Buffet dessert and coffee will be available. Admission will be $18 for adults and free for students ages 13 to 18.

Mini-course on Jewish thought
Who: Congregation Beth Shalom
What: The Adult Education Program presents “For Those Who Can’t Believe: Choices In Modern Jewish Thought.” What does it mean to “believe in God”? What is faith? This four-part mini-course will challenge your notion of God through the teachings of some of the greatest Jewish theologians of the 20th century. Instructor: Rabbi Howard Siegel. Joy women’s study

Pysanky Demonstration
Who: St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church
What: Fourth annual Pysanky making class. Pysanky are Ukrainian Easter eggs using the wax and dye method. Mothers passed on the ancient tradition to daughters a few weeks prior to Easter. Class is open to all. Bring a dozen or half-dozen raw, room-temperature eggs. Utensils and tools for applying wax will be provided. Charge of $2 per person.
