The City of Santa Clarita Waste Management and the Salvation Army are preparing to launch Clothes for Community, an innovative program allowing residents to donate gently used clothing to those in need with greater ease.

Residents may opt to participate in two ways: drop-offto a local designated site or place clothing on their curb on a designated trash day for pick-up.

In the coming weeks, Santa Clarita residents will begin to receive their Waste Management "Bag Tags" in the mail, which will be printed with donation instructions and each household's designated pick-up date.

Residents simply affix the self-adhesive tags to regular trash bags or cardboard boxes containing clean, gently used clothing and place them on the curb on their designated trash day for pick-up by the Salvation Army.
