On Saturday, April 24, at the Melody Ranch Stage, the Postal Service will unveil the new 44-cent, Cowboys of the Silver Screen commemorative stamp in four designs in a pane of 20 stamps and a booklet of 20 stamped postal cards. They have also created a special Cowboy Festival postmark.

The Cowboys of the Silver Screen stamps honor four extraordinary film stars who helped make the American Western film a popular form of entertainment from the silent era through the singing era: William S. Hart, Tom Mix, Gene Autry and Roy Rogers.

Robert Rodriguez, the artist who created the stamp images will be at Melody Ranch that day from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. for autographs. In addition, they'll be selling a four postcard set in their General Store featuring Festival images that are a great way to tell friends about the Festival experience.

Tickets are still available for the Day at the Autry tour on April 22, the Chuckwagon Dinner Show with The Sons and Brothers on April 22 and Melody Ranch Movie Night on April 23.

The Melody Ranch Movie Night is a memorable evening with dinner served on the Main St. of Melody Ranch and a viewing of the Academy Award winning film, High Noon, with Gary Cooper and Lloyd Bridges.

There are still a few Friends of the Festival packages remaining.

The package costs $150 and includes preferred seating for all 8 shows at the Melody Ranch Stage, two Buckaroo Buck gift certificates good for any two Festival merchandise items in our General Store and all weekend access to their VIP Bunkhouse with food and beverage.

Another great bargain is the Two Day Weekend Pass which gets guests into the Festival at Melody Ranch both Saturday and Sunday for the low price of $30.

While visiting for the Cowboy Festival stop by and stroll the streets of Old Town Newhall. The area pays homage to its Western roots and rich film culture with its very own Walk of Western Stars. Old Town Newhall is also where to find one-of-a-kind stores, eclectic gift shops, distinctive dining, live theatre and sporting goods.
