A jewel of a hospital

We have a jewel in our community and I didn't even know it.

I recently spent 13 days in Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital. My stay began in the emergency room, where I found rapid and excellent care, and this continued onto the fourth floor, then to the first.

My doctors H. Quan, F. Yusuf, R. Kaushal and S. Dhillon were skilled, compassionate and attentive. All of the staff from food service (which was tasty); the nurses and their assistants; the transportation from hospital room to testing areas; and housekeeping were remarkable.

We are most fortunate to have this hospital in our community.

I had never been involved with the controversial expansion plans of this hospital, but I now feel strongly that it is a must to expand. It is an outstanding hospital. One day, like me, you may need to experience this excellent care and you will be blessed if there is room for you, too.
