The benefits of hiking

We live in an age where both adults and children tend to spend too much time indoors playing on video games and personal computers.

In addition, the most convenient, least-expensive food tends to be the least healthy. As a result, one of the biggest health issues facing us is obesity.

Not only is hiking free, you don't need any special skills or equipment to get started on some easy short hikes. People in other parts of the country live in envy of both our weather and the vast variety of local mountains, hills and deserts we have in our own backyard.

Since we also have the Community Hiking Club to show the way, everyone should try to get outside and take advantage of this great opportunity.
