The Classified School Employees Association, based in San Jose, will be sponsoring a "Statewide Day of Action" on Wednesday from 4:30-6:30 p.m., to protest cuts to the education budget in California.

The goal of the organization, which includes most school employees except teachers, is to restore funding to schools and improve the quality of education in California.

The protest in Santa Clarita will be held on the northeast corner of McBean Parkway and Valencia Boulevard. Organizers said they have notified parents at all schools in the area but do not know how many people will attend at the event. For more information visit
