CCAC is important to our community

Regarding the letter from Kevin Korenthal and the Canyon Country Advisory Committee (“Keep funding CCAC,” Aug. 3), I agree that the CCAC serves the community as a whole, not a particular political party.

It’s a group of concerned and involved citizens of Santa Clarita and Canyon Country, and it’s open to all SCV residents. They are not just Democrats, Republicans or independent/undeclared voters — it’s a group that works for all Santa Clarita residents and the betterment of SCV communities. It keeps we residents who attend meetings and get the newsletters up to date with goings-on — the good, the bad and sometimes even the ugly.

Speaker topics range from the Sheriff’s Department (gangs and graffiti issues), to infrastructure (cross-valley connector), to developers and impact on the area (residential and commercial).

Please do not cut the availability of the facility from this fine community organization.
