Parents at back to school nights are given an opportunity to follow their students' schedules from class to class, usually in ten minute intervals. Teachers take the opportunity to explain homework, classroom rules, subjects the students will be learning during the year, and ways to connect with the teacher during the semester.

Infinite Campus, a new student data system, is being rolled out in the Hart District this year, and many teachers will be using the Parent Portal to update parents on their own students' progress, missing assignments, upcoming deadlines and other pertinent information.

The system will replace the former Snap Grades system which many Hart district parents have become accustomed to using in the past.
