Brush-Lofstrand engagement
Jim and Sandy Brush, of Valencia, are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Roxanne Elizabeth Brush, to Erik Phillip Lofstrand, of Pasadena.

The bride-elect is the sister of James Brush and Amanda Renee Bernard (David). She was born at Granada Hills Hospital and attended Old Orchard Elementary School and is a graduate of William S. Hart High School.

She graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara with a BA in Communications. She is employed as a teacher at St. Genevieve High School.

The groom-elect is the son of Kathleen Lofstrand. He is the brother of Rebecca Jeanne Lofstrand. He is a graduate of Portland State College with a BS degree in Business Administration. He is employed by Microsoft.

The couple became engaged at Rockefeller Center in New York City on the ice, and the engagement was first announced at the bride-elect parents’ home on May 17.

The couple plan to be wed in the early summer of 2009.

Wasulko-Horne engagement
Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Wasulko, of Granada Hills, are pleased to announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Christine Lynne, to William Robert Horne, of Cairo, Ga.

The bride-elect is a graduate of Irvine High School and California State University at Northridge. She received her master’s degree in education technology from Pepperdine University. She will be teaching at The Learning Center in Murphy, N.C. in the fall.

The groom-elect is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Eddie Horne of Cairo, Ga. He is a graduate of Cairo High School and Valdosta (Ga.) State University. He served in the United States Marine Corps from 1988-92 and is a veteran of Operation Desert Storm. He is employed as editor of the Cherokee Scout in Murphy.

A July wedding is planned at St. Euphrasia Catholic Church in Granada Hills, with a reception to follow at Porter Valley Country Club in Northridge.
