Lexus Jazz and Blues Series
The sounds of live jazz and blues bands once again fill Town Center Drive in Valencia during the 10th annual Lexus of Valencia Jazz & Blues Concert Series. Hours for the concerts will be 7-9:30 p.m. and they will take place on Town Center Drive adjacent to the Hyatt Valencia. No pets or outside food or beverages are allowed. Admission is free. The concert line-up includes: Friday - Tom Nolan Band, Aug. 22 - Teresa James & the Rhythm Tramps, Aug. 29 - The Delgado Brothers, Sept. 5 - Michael John & the Bottom Line.

The Santa Clarita Valley Computer Club will be meeting at the SCV Senior Center on at 6 p.m. today. The session will feature an encore presentation by Stephen K. Peeples, The Signal's online editor. Hot August Nights to benefit The Painted Turtle camp for children with chronic illnesses will be held Saturday, the Tournament Players Club in Valencia. Sept. 13
The Foundation for Children's Dental Health is celebrating its 15th birthday by hosting a Quinceanera on Sept. 13 from 6 to 10 p.m. at the home of Mayor Bob Kellar. The evening includes live salsa music, dancing, and food. Ticket prices are $100. Proceeds benefit children in our valley suffering from a lack of dental care. Sept. 13-14
Circle of Hope will host the fifth annual theatrical tea from noon to 3 p.m. Sept. 13-14. Tickets $50 each, and include musical theater, live performances, and a formal English tea in a garden setting.
