Tuesday, Sept. 28 “Barre hopping” A serious accident that severed a main artery and landed Michele Mosler on life support, led to a real affinity for health and fitness. “Plum Canyon Developers sells remaining lots” Developer SunCal sold the remaining 224 residential lots in Plum Canyon to KB Homes. The lots have sat empty since 2006. KB Homes plans to build homes 45 percent more energy efficiently that homes built 10 years ago.

Thursday, Sept. 30 “Boo! The billion-dollar Halloween industry” The Halloween season ranks second only to the Christmas holiday in gross sales. A multi-billion-dollar industry, it has spurred a host of trade associations and conventions, represents seasonal employment for thousands of workers, and scores big in the candy, costumes and movie sales market. A directory of specialty retailers was published, which included the local retailer A Chorus Line. A Chorus Line is located at 23300 Cinema Drive in Valencia. 

Friday, Oct. 8 “SCV Expo” Opens next Friday with Taste of Expo and opens to the public free of charge Saturday and Sunday Oct. 9 and Oct. 10.

Saturday, Oct. 2 “Quick fix, fast finish” Frank Cervetto, owner of Continental Motorcars, is a race driver by choice, and a master automotive technician who repairs passenger vehicles by profession.
