Fair Oaks Ranch Community School received a $5,000 grant from the Weyerhaeuser Company Foundation on Wednesday, which will pay for new technology for students in the classroom. Fair Oaks Ranch Community School in Canyon Country opened in 2002 with some computers and other technology. However, funding limitations have not allowed the school to keep up with technological advancements.

The Weyerhaeuser grant will help pay for Smart Boards — a type of interactive whiteboard — and laptop computers in two classrooms.
