Local earns professional community association manager designation

Valencia Management Group recently announced that Tina Nakamura has earned the Professional Community Association Manager designation from Community Associations Institute. According to the group, Nakamura is one of more than 1,200 managers nationwide who have earned the recognition.

Nakamura joined Valencia Management Group in 2003. In addition to the PCAM, she also holds the certified manager of community associations and association management specialist designations, and is a California certified common interest development manager.

She is also a graduate of California State University, Northridge with a Bachelor of Arts in liberal studies with a concentration in speech communication.

To earn the PCAM designation, Nakamura completed five years of community association management experience and more than 100 hours of course work. Additionally, she must fulfill continuing education and service requirements and adhere to a code of ethics.
