Apparently, everyone in the SCV has a different favorite pizza provider. In our limited call-out to Signal staff members, Facebook friends and Twitter followers, we came up with no less than 23 "best" local pizza restaurants. Even so, we no doubt left out your favorite. When it comes to this delightful dish, everyone's taste differs, from deep dish to thin crust, meaty to vegetarian, cheesy to saucy. But one thing is for sure, the SCV is big on pizza!
Topping our list were Vincenzo's and Chi-Chi's. After that were three successive levels of popularity - but, really, there wasn't all that much separation between top and bottom.

Vincenzo's Pizza (Newhall)
24504 ½ Lyons Ave.
Newhall, CA 91321
(661) 259-6733

Vincenzo's Pizza (Saugus)
207701 Plum Canyon Road

Vincenzo's at Santa Clarita Lanes
21615 Soledad Canyon Road
Saugus, CA 91350
(661) 254-0540
A longtime favorite in the SCV, and now serving at three locations in our valley, Vincenzo's garnered the most votes in our little contest, with the quotes favoring the Newhall location.
A. Montero: The best crust, by far. It's fluffy, with a nice crispness to accommodate the massive amounts of doughy goodness. Every slice is monstrous and the prices are not bad for the taste. Their cheese is always perfectly melted and golden, and as someone who loves cheese, this is important. Dipping the crust into their (I believe) homemade ranch dressing is the quintessential end to the meal.
T. Marashlian: I like Vincenzo's (especially the Newhall location). The crust is always crispy and it's the right amount of cheese and sauce. Plus they have a lot of toppings to choose from. And when you eat in the restaurant, you get to eat peanuts and drop the shells on the floor. It always hits the spot with me.
Theresa Stewart: I love Vincenzo's on Lyons! The thick crust and giant slices are oh sooooo yummy!
Julie Yuliano: Vincenzo's in the SC bowling alley. It's cheesy and a little greasy, as pizza should be! The bartender Mel is the best ever and exceeds customers expectations, which tops the best pizza in town experience!
Willieonline: Vincenzo's on Lyons. Large slices, fluffy, crisp, tasty crust. Great cheese.

Chi-Chi's Pizza (Saugus)
23043 West Soledad Canyon Road
Saugus, CA 91350

Chi-Chi's Pizza (Canyon Country)
27117 North Sierra Highway
Canyon Country, CA 91351
(661) 252-4405
Y. DiDomenico: Chi-Chi's is da bomb.
J. Adkins: I prefer Chi-Chi's pizzas because the crust is just the right size, so I don't fill up on the dough and can enjoy the taste of the ingredients. Always fresh and authentic tasting. Great cheeses and sausage.
Debi Ellis: My brothers and I still rave about the pizza at Chi-Chi's. The best.
Jennifer Tollan-Janeck: I have lived her for over 30 years. I have family that demand Chi-Chi's when they come to town. Also, when I was pregnant I ate there every day for a week. Now it is the only pizza my daughter will eat.
Eric Mrantz: I've been eating Chi-Chi's since I was a kid in Canyon Country in 1969 and I still travel from Palmdale to eat at Chi-Chi's Pizza. My favorite is on Soledad. I think the pizza cook is still there from 1969!
Peggie Stafford: Chi-Chi's - I have had a lot of memories of there and it is good food.

J. Walker: The Works Pizza was fantastic! Normally, I don't do deep dish pizza, but this Works (variety of meats, black olives, mushrooms, tomato, onions and green peppers) may have changed my style.

J. Walker: Italian Supremo Pizza - Chunks of ground beef and spicy Italian sausage mixed with strips of pepperoni, bell peppers and onions, all on top of red sauce and cheese. I generally go for meaty pizzas, and this one satisfied that urge while bringing me plenty of choice cheese, a thin, crispy crust, peppers and onions - all in a fresh-tasting blend that most of the pizzas I eat are missing.
