My favorite president is George Washington. Washington was the first president of the United States of America.

He had spring-loaded dentures. That is why he always looked so stern. He had a pair made of iron. But his other pair was made of animal tusks.

People in Washington’s time didn’t take care of their teeth. They did not have dental floss or toothpaste. People used powdered chalk and a rag to clean their teeth.

Very few people had toothbrushes. Washington had two dentists, John Greenwood to adjust his dentures. Also Jean-Pierre Le Mayeur.

He was a French dentist — because during the American Revolutionary War his teeth bothered him so much he needed them adjusted.

George always looked different because he is not smiling in his pictures like the one on the dollar bill. Now, I know that I need to take care of my teeth. That is why George Washington is my favorite president.

My favorite president is Abraham Lincoln. I like Lincoln because he stopped slavery. If it wasn’t for him, who knows where we would have been?

Another reason I like him is he liked theater. I know that because he got assassinated in a theater. Lastly, he was very good at giving speeches, such as his most famous speech, the Gettysburg Address.

Personally, my favorite president was George Herbert Walker Bush. He was a wonderful man.

First, he worked for a successful drilling company, then he worked his way through the branches of government.

Finally, Bush got his chance to shine. He literally took the country and out-voted his opponent. A lot of people probably disagree with me, but I believe he served his four years for his country and he did a wonderful job.

When his time was done, some of us were sad and some of us weren’t. He did a great job for this country and we should all say thank you to George Herbert Walker Bush.

Hi, my name is Lonie and my two favorite presidents are George Washington and Teddy Roosevelt. I like George Washington, because he is interesting.

He was the first president, and his birthday is after mine. I like Teddy Roosevelt because he is also interesting and he is (portrayed) in the movie “Night at the Museum” and I’ve heard tons of facts about Teddy and George.

I like both presidents equally and don’t like one better than the other. Those are my favorite presidents.

I would have to say my favorite U.S. president would be President Barack Obama.

Barack Obama is my favorite president because he is the first African American to become the leader of our country. He also inspires people because he has had a tough childhood.

Barack’s father left his mom and him when Barack was a baby. Barack used to be a smoker but he hasn’t smoked for at least a year.

These facts prove you can accomplish anything you want if you try your best.

It doesn’t matter where you come from as long as you don’t give up. That’s why Barack Obama is my favorite president.

The U.S. president that I like is Barack Obama. He is intelligent and cares about us.

I think he makes sure that people don’t pay too much and don’t be harmful. That’s why I like Barack Obama, because I voted for him — well not me, my mom did. He will always be the best.
